Dear Colleagues,
The fall semester has begun with excitement, energy and new opportunities. As we begin the academic year it is time to also think about the community in which we live. The health of our community makes a difference and impacts the health of our university.
The United Way of Northern Arizona’s annual campaign is underway and Northern Arizona University plays a large part in the campaign and its success. I heartily support United Way’s mission and its focus on creating lasting changes through education, income and health.
We have seen the community come together during fires, floods and tornadoes under the assistance of the United Way and its partners. Most of us have experienced or have been touched in some way by a United Way partner -- Red Cross, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, YMCA, food banks, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and North County Community Health to name a few.
Your support and donation will make a difference. The United Way Coordinator in your department will have pledge forms available. You have several options for your donation and you can sign up for payroll deduction to spread your contribution out over the year.
