NAU's Green Practices Guide is full of useful information on how we can easily conserve resources everyday. Each page can be individually printed on any inkjet color printer and posted as a flyer. Members of the Campus Sustainability Ambassadors Network develop strategies for campus-wide reduction of resource use and waste production and act as representatives and liaisons to the campus community to help develop a sustainable university. (How to become an Ambassador...)

- Join the Society of Environmental Communicators
The Society of Environmental Communicators is a student organization at NAU that gives students the opportunity to put their beliefs into action. The group strives to spread environmental awareness and interest on campus and within the community. SEC members decide which projects the group will pursue. In the past, they have targeted issues such as campus transportation, outdoor awareness, recycling, and student environmental awareness. SEC also organizes NAU's Earth Day activities. - Make the October Pledge
October is Energy Awareness Month and NAU kicks it off each year with the October Pledge Campaign. The 2005 campaign sparked the creation of the Campus Sustainability Web site, NAU's Green Practices Guide, a campus sustainability newsletter (the GreenWise Bulletin), and the Sustainability Ambassadors Network. The 2006 October Pledge Campaign promises to surpass our many achievements in 2005, as transportation becomes the focus for the month. (Here's how to make the pledge... )
