Mission: The NAzAEYC Student Chapter partners with the Northern Arizona Professional Chapter at many events to build mentorship opportunities, plan and experience events with young children that directly add to their teaching expertise, and are exposed to workshops and other professional events which add to their knowledge about young children and their families. They also have opportunity to meet new friends and future collegues in the field
Events: Fall events include: Fund Raising for new Student Memberships at the Mountain Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival, St. Mary's Bazzar, and selling SEES Candy, Workshops and Mixers with the Professional NAZAEYC chapter, organizing the Literacy festival, Ring the Bell for Salvation Army before Winter Break. Spring events include: Odyssey of the Mind judges and volunteers, Early Childhood Conference in Cottonwood - presenters, helpers and attendees, Week of the Young Child participants, Relay for Life, and TARIAT Lunch Hostesses
Why join? NAEYC is an internationally recognized organization, lots of fun activities, (not a ton of boring meetings), great community service, lots of opportunities to make a difference for young children, meet new people, and great for your resume!
