Mission: To make money for ceramics department to put toward new equpiment and to gain insight inot what it takes to make a living to be a ceramic artist in today's world.
Community service: Every month teenagers from the Flagstaff Juvenile Detention Hall are invited into the studio to handbuild small sculputres or throw pots which they later keep. This is a win-win situation for both parties, the children gain knowldege about ceramis and hopefully gain the sense of accomplishment that follows making something with your own hands. It is also beneficial to the ceramics major who are interested in pursuing a teaching career later in their lives.
