Mission: The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a nonprofit music- education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publications, research, and teaching. In addition, ACDA strive through arts a advocacy to elevate choral music's position in American society.
The NAU Student Chapter is a club on campus that is open to Graduate and Undergraduate students that are dedicated to furthering their professional development, advocating music education in Flagstaff, and are intersted in networking with other future music educators and professionals already in the field.
Community service: Highway cleanup
Events: NAU Jazz Madrigal Festival, Four Corners Workshop, Madness Recital, Fundraisers, and Travel to Regional or National ACDA Convention
Why join? ACDA is a great way to mett other people in your field. As a member of ACDA you also gain knowledge and experience that is essential to furthering your carreer as a choral director and music educator. But mos of all, it's a lot of fun! Every year we travel to the regional or national ACDA convention. Noy only is it a blast, it is a learning experience that will last a lifetime.
