Spring 2012 Leadership Workshop Series
The Spring 2012 Leadership Workshop Series includes multiple workshops designed specifically for students interested in developing personal leadership skills. Join us this semester to discover more about yourself, learn how to use your abilities to lead others, and apply these skills to life after college. Attend 5 sessions to receive an award and be recognized at the Louie Awards this Spring.

Discover and Define your Values…and Then Use Them!

In order to define your leadership skills and roles, you must first define your values and explore how they will shape your approach to leadership. In this workshop, participants will take the time to individually reflect on and explore personal values.

Discover how to put yourself, skills, personality, experiences and much more into your resume. These tips will make you look amazing. In addition, receive resources from Gateway that will assist you in the resume writing process.
The World of Peer Mentoring

Come find out how to find a mentor, how to become a mentor, and what it means to be a mentor. This workshop is all about the mentor/mentee relationship.
Create Yourself Identity Conference
This Student Multicultural Leadership Conference is hosted through RHA. Jeff Stafford will be the Keynote Speaker doing all new breakout sessions. New and returning participants are welcome to attend. The cost of the conference will be $20 per student. Applications are due on January 27 by 5:00pm to Joe Caudill’s box in North Hall.

Creating a Purposeful Living Statement

Join us in creating a purposeful living statement that describes what you want to focus on, what you want to accomplish, and who you want to become in a particular area of your life. This statement can be focused for the next year, the next several years, or for your lifetime. Your purposeful living statement is a way to focus your energy, actions, behaviors, and decisions towards the things that are most important to you.

Are you feeling like your schedule has become out of control? Perhaps you have a hard time balancing all of your commitments, or simply saying, “no”. This workshop will focus specifically on time management for student who are highly involved on campus or in the Flagstaff community.
Take a Stand!

Have you ever been in a situation that could become potentially dangerous where you were worried about yourself or someone else? Have you ever wanted to “Take a Stand!” and intervene only you didn’t think you had the skills? Every day we witness situations in which someone makes an inappropriate comment, perpetuates stereotypes, sexual harassment, or is physically violent. Become an active bystander and positively intervene to protect others. This training will give you the skills you need to “Take a Stand!”
Developing Your Personal Brand

How do you “sell” yourself and your leadership skills to potential mentors or employers? One way is to develop your personal brand to help you market your skills and seek out new opportunities. This workshop will help you discover your personal brand, craft a short introduction of who you are and what you’re all about, and provide time to practice selling your brand to others.
