Career Opportunities

Core courses include budgeting, planning, organizational theory, leadership, and administration. Students then take specialized courses in each focus areas.

Overview

The Public Agency Service program is designed for those who seek entry into or promotion within public agencies. The student chooses a bachelor degree program and to specialize in administration of justice, fire science administration, public agency administration or social and community service.

The bachelor of applied science in public agency service is for those who are working on or who already have an associate’s degree because the BAS curriculum builds on associate degree studies. In fact, students often complete their associate’s degree while you work on the BAS

The bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies and the bachelor of science in interdisciplinary studies in public agency services does not assume completion of an associates degree; however, it does not preclude students with an associates degree from entering the program.

How Long Will it Take Me to Complete This Program?

Time varies with course availability and the number of courses chosen each semester. A minimum of 120 hours is required for an NAU bachelor’s degree.
