
Making a Difference Award
The MDA is awarded to students who have declared a BAiLS emphasis or minor in Ethnic Studies. Eligibility: enrolled in NAU courses for at least one calendar year; 3.0 GPA or better; Applicants must write a personal statement, 200-500 words, summarizing your activities and indications how you have made a difference in race and ethnic relations at NAU or in the community; and a letter of recommendation which speaks to the ways in which you have made a difference in race and ethnic relations.
Distinguished Senior Award
The DSA is awarded by the Ethnic Studies faculty to students who have declared a BAiLS emphasis or minor in Ethnic Studies. Eligibility: senior, 3.0 GPA or better; registered for courses at NAU and enrolled at NAU for at least one calendar year.
