Welcome to the Department of Ethnic Studies Program at Northern Arizona University.
The Ethnic Studies Program addresses the ways in which race and ethnicity intersect with gender, class, sexuality, age and nationality to determine who gets what, when and how. The primary goal is to encourage students to become more aware of the ethnic and culture-based dimensions and applications of their particular major fields.
In addition to its strong academic curriculum and dedicated faculty, Ethnic Studies is committed to developing relationships with organizations whose work strengthens multicultural and multiracial relationships locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.
