
Anthropology undergraduate and graduate students gain valuable fieldwork experience, use state-of-the-art labs and work with world-renowned NAU faculty.
Our degree programs are designed to move students into the expanding nonacademic job market as well as accelerate studies for students who want to continue into graduate work.
Undergraduate Anthropology students experience core courses in Archaeological, Biological, Cultural, and Linguistic Anthropology. Upperclassmen receive advising and mentorship from faculty members. There are opportunities for undergraduates: the archaeology teaching lab and international cultural immerision programs.
Master's students choose between research or applied anthropological tracks. The research track focuses on developing original, individual research while the applied track is practitioner-oriented. The students also choose an emphasis archaeology, linguistics, or sociocultural anthropology.
