Rheagan Alexander ('04) lives in Montrose, Colorado and works as a Project Director for Alpine Archaeological Consultants.

Emily L. Altimare ('07) is working on her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology at Michigan State University.

Lisa Baldwin (’07) works for the Flagstaff Areas National Park Service.

Andy Bessler (’99) I am currently a Southwest Representative for the Sierra Club and have been with the Sierra Club since graduating NAU in 1999. I am the Director of the Tribal Partnership Program and consultant with the Sierra Club nationally on tribal and environmental issues as well as regionally on specific campaigns to curb global warming, provide tribal economies a Just Transition and assist tribal communities with local environmental justice campaigns. I have been privileged to be able to with work with leaders from most Southwest Tribes. Of note, I have been, unfortunately for me sometimes, been introduced by our Executive Director as the Sierra Club’s anthropologist.

Adam Berg (‘00) lives in Reno, Nevada, and works as Senior Archaeologist for ASM Affiliates, Inc.

Rachel Berry ('04) lives in Arlington, VA and works as an Intelligence Analyst and Strategic Planner for the Army Directed Studies Office, a think tank that produces special studies for the Senior Leadership of the US Army.

Jennae Biddiscombe ('03) lives in New Orleans, LA and works as the Curator of Education for the Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic House Museums in the French Quarter. 

Kate Brelsford ('04) lives in Tampa and is working on her Ph.D. in applied anthropology and an M.P.H. in public health at the University of South Florida.

Gay Chanler (‘00) lives in Flagstaff and, in conjunction with Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, works with Navajo sheepherders to promote and market the meat of the rare, heritage breed of Navajo Churro sheep. She is also co-leader of the northern Arizona chapter of Slow Food USA.

Karolina Chmiel (’08) works as an archaeologist for ICF Jones & Stokes in San Diego, California.

Anna Corwin ('07) is living in Los Angeles, and is working towards a PhD in Linguistic Anthropology at UCLA.

Michael R. Coughlan ('03) lives in Athens, Georgia and attends the University of Georgia as a PhD student in Ecological and Environmental Anthropology.

Jeremy Decker (’07) is an archaeologist with the Valles Caldera National Preserve in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.

Suzanne DeRosa ('99) lives in Mesa and is a Project Manager with Archaeological Consulting Services in Tempe.

Shayna Diamond-Atonna ('04) has been working for the American Cancer Society as the Patient Navigator at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ, and recently was promoted to the Navigator Training Manager position for the 12 states in the division.

Geneviève Dionne (‘02) lives in Montreal, Canada, and is trying hard to finish her PhD dissertation in Anthropology of Development (McGill University), for which she has conducted fieldwork at the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

Joe Dolan ('03) is currently marketing and PR coordinator for Pima Community College in Tucson. After spending four years working as the managing editor of the tribal newspaper of the Yavapai Apache Nation, a position he landed from his master's internship work, he got into the higher education marketing field. He is a recent proud father of a son, Elliott Hokuloa, "Eli" with wife, Sara Plescia ('04).

Roger Dorr (’08) works for the Flagstaff Areas National Monuments.

Devan Duke (’08) works for the Museum of Northern Arizona educating visitors about the Therizinosaur exhibit. 

Richard Fox (‘02) lives in Seattle, Washington and works as the Operations Manager for The Access Group, Inc.

Joshua Gagne (‘98) lives in Providence, RI and works as the Senior Coordinator for Qualitative Research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.

Joe Garrotto ('97), lives in Carson City, Nevada as the Carson Ranger District Archaeologist for the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Phil R. Geib (‘85), after years of living in Flagstaff and working for NAU and  then the Navajo Nation, moved to Albuquerque in 2005 for graduate school at  UNM where he is progressing toward a PhD in archaeology.

Lisa Jane Hardy ('01) lives in Philadelphia where she completed her Ph.D. and had a baby daughter in 2007.  Lisa currently holds an interim lecturer position at Bryn Mawr College where she teaches applied anthropology.

Robert (Robby) Heckman (‘01) lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is the Office Director for SRI's Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas offices.

Phil Hoog ('05) lives in San Diego, CA and has recently been made Curatorial and NAGPRA Coordinator within the curatorial department at the San Diego Museum of Man (San Diego's anthropology museum). He completed his internship at the Museum of Man while working on his Applied Archaeology Masters and began working at the Museum immediately after graduating. 

Dawn Hubbs, ('98) living near Peach Springs Arizona, is the archaeologist for the Hualapai Tribe.

Allison Israel ('01), after four years with the American Holistic Nurses Association in Flagstaff, AZ, has moved with her family to Southern Washington and is expecting her second child. 

 Karla James (Borrud) ('04) lives in Yuma, AZ and works as the Archaeologist for Yuma Proving Ground.

Tony Joe lives in Gallup, NM employed with the Navajo Nation and the University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch as an anthropologist.

Craig J. Johnson ('98) makes his home in Flagstaff. Since receiving his MA, Craig has worked for the National Park Service, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and is currently working as the Lead Archaeologist for the Bureau of Land Management in Kingman, AZ.

Mandy Johnson (‘02) is living in Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island of Hawai'i Nei, where she has been working for Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park since May 2007.  As a Park archeologist, she is about equal parts cultural anthropologist and archeologist and on the beach frequently...loving it!

Brian Joseph (’07) works for the Bureau of Reclamation in Provo, Utah.

Poppy Keegan ('01) lives in Prescott Valley and is taking time out from her anthropology career to raise her two kids and act as president for the MOMS Club of Prescott.

Eliot Lee (’98) lives in the mountains outside of Boulder and Golden, CO and works as a Senior Software Developer for Executive Intelligence in Golden, CO and operates a technology consulting company on the side. When Eliot is not in front of a computer, he can be found zipping down the slopes on tele or alpine skis, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, backpacking, lifting weights and playing with his Alaskan Malamute dog, Mischief.

Peter Little ('06) lives in Corvallis, OR and is pursuing his PhD in Applied Anthropology at Oregon State University. He recently recieved NSF funding for his dissertation fieldwork which will start July 1, 2008.

Michael Lyndon ('05) is the Forest Tribal Liaison/Assistant Forest Archaeologist for the Kaibab National Forest in Williams, Arizona.

Ryan Mandell (’08) is working for Progressive Auto Insurance in Seattle, Washington.

Dinorah (Dina) Martinez (‘96) lives in Tampa, FL works at the Moffitt Cancer Center and finishing a PhD in Applied Anthropology at the University of South Florida.

Eleanor McLellan-Lemal (‘94) lives in Woodstock, GA and works as a behavioral scientist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention).

Linda Neff ('96?) lives in Flagstaff and works for the e-Learning Center at Northern Arizona University and teaches writing online for AXIA College.

Kim (Wegesin) Popetz ('98) is the Collections Manager for the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. When she's not working with spies (seriously!) she's spends her time with her husband and two sons.

David E. Purcell ('93) lives in Flagstaff but works for the Tempe office of Logan Simpson Design, Inc. as an Archaeologist II. For the next 4 years he will be in the field on a survey of 6,700 miles of Arizona Public Service high voltage power lines.

Emily Kellogg Ragsdale ('05) lives in Portland, Oregon and works as an archaeologist for Historical Research Associates.

Sandra E. Rosas ('96) lives in Chico, CA (Northern California) and works for  the California Department of Transportation District 3, Branch Chief, Office of Environmental Management

Amanda Rose-Horne, (‘04) Tucson, AZ Anthropology Instructor at Pima Community College

Joanne Sanfilippo ('98) lives in Saratoga, Wyoming and works as the Environmental Coordinator and Interdisciplinary Team Leader for the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest.

Daniel Sorrell ('05) lives in Tempe and is a cultural resources project director for EcoPlan Associates, Inc., Mesa.

Kelly Swartz (’08) is working for Desert Archaeology in Tucson, Arizona.

Kyrie Thompson ('06) lives in Portland and works as the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry as an exhibit developer.  She's currently preparing for two big events in late spring: her first NSF grant application for an exhibit on traditional ecological knoweldge and her wedding to Robert Kellett.

Javier Torres (’92) lives in El Paso Texas and works in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. I work as a Regional Project Manager for water, wastewater and solid waste projects in the Mexican states of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and U.S. states of New Mexico and Texas for the Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC). I supervise 4 project engineers.   

Davina Two Bears ('02) is mother of three children (Brenna 12, Barbara 11, and Brady Jr. 8), and resides here in Flagstaff, but is originally from Tsidi Toh, Birdsprings, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation.  She is the Program Manager of the Navajo Nation Archaeology Department - Northern Arizona University Branch Office.

Nick Vanneman ('03) lives in Seattle, WA and works as a clinical research coordinator with the non-profit organization Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute (pndri.org).

James Vint (‘92) Living in Tucson and completing PhD in anthropology at the University of Arizona (anticipate August 2008 degree). Also a project director for Desert Archaeology, Inc., and soon to begin a multi-year project excavating an Early Agricultural site as part of the Pima County Regional Waste Water Facility development plan.

Elizabeth Vogler (’07) works for Flagstaff Cultural Partners/Coconino Center for the Arts as the program coordinator.

 Karla Wagner ('99) is a PhD candidate in Health Behavior Research at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.  Her dissertation research focuses on correlates of HIV and hepatitis C risk behavior among injection drug users participating in a local Syringe Exchange Program.  For fun she teaches yoga and spinning classes.

Charlie Webber (’08) works for the Flagstaff Areas National Monuments.

Erik Whiteman is currently one of the lead Research Associates at the Humboldt State University's  Cultural Resource Facility.

David Zimmerman (’92) lives in Flagstaff and works for ADOT as a Planner/ Historic Preservation Specialist since 2006. Prior to that, I was an anthropologist for the Navajo Nation Historic Preservation Department (2001-2005). I spent two years (1996-1998) teaching in Viet Nam. One year as a dirt archaeologist (1999) in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming (in Wyoming, I specialized in finding  lithic stuff, shell casings, and dead coyotes in cold, wind-swept, cattle ranges). And one year doing program evaluation for a U.S. Department of Education Regional Education Laboratory in Denver (2000).
