Anthropology, the study of Humanity's past, present, and future, has four subdisciplines: biological anthropology, socio-cultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology, and archaeology.  Within these subdisciplines, NAU's Anthropology Department has a wide range of focal areas that attract students from a variety of backgrounds, including;
