Committees
The Legislative Leadership Committee will have two major tasks: making judicial and legislative decisions related to the RHA constitution as well as developing leadership programs on campus and in meetings. The legislative half recommends revisions and updates within the RHA constitution, which will then be voted on by the General Council. The leadership half is focus on bringing leader-focused programs and experiences to the RHA general council and amongst students on campus! The President of RHA oversees this committee.
The Regional & Recognition Committee is responsible for providing recognition on campus, within our organization, and on a regional and national level. This includes writing award nominations to take to regional/national conferences to recognize students, staff, communities, activities, and faculty on our campus. The National Communications Coordinator (NCC) of RHA oversees this committee.
The Public Relations Committee is resposible for building community within the general council and marketing RHA's undertakings to the general residential student population. Some specific responsibilities include the planning and implementation of activities which develop community between RHA members, RHA's Fall Social and RHA's Annual Formal, advertising events through different techniques such as bulletin boards, website updates, fliers, etc. The Public Relations Director of RHA oversees this committee.
The Special Events Committee is charged with the planning and execution of large-scale events. This includes events that everyone on campus can participate in such as Welcome Back events, Traditions Day, and much more. This committee also has the opportunity to revise and judge the presentations of Hall Awards: Hall for Fall, Hall for Spring, Hall of the Year, and Hall of Fame. The Student Affairs Director of RHA oversees this committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for effectively implementing major fund-raising projects (i.e. On Campus Marketing Care Packages). Additionally, this group monitors and approves hall allocations and general funding programs that RHA offers. The Finance Director of RHA oversees this committee.
