Who We Are:
The Residence Hall Association 

• Advocates for residential student needs
• Provides campus & residence hall activities
• Builds leadership skills through workshops and conferences
• Offers financial assistance to hall councils
• Liaisons between residential communities and campus entities
• Serves as the residential students’ voice for issues on campus
• Acts as the governing body of the residence halls
• Fosters community and leadership skills

Our History: 
        The history of NAU's Residence Hall Association traces back to the late 1950's when Men's Inter Hall Council (MIHC) got its start as NAU's first residence hall oriented organization.  Because MIHC was restricted to men, in 1983, the female residents formed the Residence Hall Association.  A few years later the two organizations merged. The subsequent merger created the Association of University Residence Halls (AURH), which maintained MIHC's dynamics and student support, but better represented both men and women living on campus.
