What do you like best about living in your Learning Community?
I really enjoy the students’ excitement for the classes they are taking. I also enjoy when they study together and all succeed on a test.
What do you like best about being an Resident Advisor in your Learning Community?
I like being an RA for the Business LC because I love economics. I love sharing with the students my experiences in the College of Business Administration and providing them with programs like faculty dinners and fieldtrips.
What are the benefits of living in a Learning Community?
The benefits of living in the community are being surrounded with people who share the same interests as you. They are also able to network with faculty in the CBA easier than other students. They enjoy their experience and have a better retention rate than non-LC residents.
What has been the best Learning Community event for you, and why?
The first annual fieldtrip we held last year. We got to tour the Vanguard Group and Taser International. This was an experience that very few students get to have. Taser no longer offers tours but opened their doors to us.
