What do you like best about living in your Learning Community?

I love that I am living so close to other freshmen who have the same major and are taking the same classes as me. It has been a great way to meet people who have similar interests. Plus, all you have to do is walk across the hall if you need homework help!

What are the benefits of living in a Learning Community?

The biggest benefit of the Learning Community is that from the day you move in you know that you are living in the same hallway as other people who are going to be taking the same classes and doing the same activities as you. It’s a great way to make friends as a freshman. Also, the professors know those that are in the Learning Community, and it’s a great way to get to know them better through events like Student-Faculty Dinners and faculty presentations designed to help Learning Community students excel in their major.

What has been the best Learning Community event for you, and why?

My favorite Learning Community event so far has been the Student-Faculty Dinner because it was a great way to meet some of my future professors and get to know my current professors on a more personal level. It is important to establish a good relationship with your professors and the Learning Community events definitely set the perfect stage for networking.
