Why did you choose to live in a Learning Community?

Entering college I wanted to meet people who shared my interests, and when I found about the Outdoor Recration LC I was ecstatic because it was the perfect opportunity to meet some really good friends who enjoy doing the same things that I do.

What has been the best part of living in Learning Community?

I have met quite a few people who I can call my best friends. The best part is that I can just walk right outside my door to talk to my friends. The LC helps me get out of the house to go hiking and backpacking since I have a hard time planning those things myself.

What is your favorite part of living on campus?

Everything that I need is right around me and all of my closest friends are right here.  There are food and coffee places only one minute away, a gym the same distance away, a work-out room just downstairs and a kitchen with all the appliances I need downstairs as well.

What would you say to an incoming student who is considering living in an LC?

Do it!  Live on campus in an LC. It’s the best thing you can do as a freshman. People always told me to get involved with clubs and groups and it is so true.  In the group you meet great friends who love doing what you love doing.  And they’re all right there next to you.
