Accepting Learning Community applicants for the 2010-2011 Academic year

The Business LCs connect freshmen who are interested in majoring in accountancy, business economics, computer information systems, finance, management or marketing. LC residents live together in one of two locations –  Sechrist Hall or McConnell Hall.

 

Common Courses 

Seats in certain high-demand classes will be reserved for Freshman Business LC residents. Your advisor will help you enroll in these courses, which you will attend with other members of your LC. Visit Priority Enrollment to find out more about enrollment and advising. For fall ’09, seats will be reserved in:

CIS 120 – Introduction to Computer Information Systems
Introduces students to computers and information systems, including applications used for communications and database management.
 
NAU 100 – First Year Experience
A one-credit course that assists students in their transition to college.

 

Activities & Events

Each year LC residents work with residence hall staff to plan exciting and meaningful activities. Possible events in the Freshman Business LC include:

Welcome Gathering
Meet other LC residents and discuss future activities and events
 
Faculty Dinner
Students will have the opportunity to meet faculty from the W.A. Franke College of Business through shared dinners and learn more about their field of study.  
 
Advising Program
Discuss your schedule, future academic plans and career options with an expert in your field
 
Test Taking Workshop
Find out how you can do your best on all of your exams Study Break & Root Beer Float Social Enjoy a tasty treat and take a moment to relax before final exams
