The Biomedical Professions LC connects approximately 30 freshmen who are interested in a career in one of the biomedical professions – chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, nutrition/dietetics, occupational therapy, optometry, osteopathic medicine, naturopathic medicine, paramedic, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, podiatry, public health or veterinary medicine. LC residents live together in Wilson Hall.

 

Premedical Professions Workshop Series

During the fall semester, two workshops will be held for Biomedical Professions LC students in which resources will be shared as well as important information about preparing for medical schools. The workshop descriptions include:
 
WORKSHOP #1: PREPARING FOR MEDICAL SCHOOL
Premedical Professional Advisors from the Gateway Student Success Center will discuss components of a successful application to schools such as researching schools, developing preparation timelines, gaining clinical experience, writing you personal statement, and obtaining letters of recommendations.
 
WORKSHOP #2: APPLYING TO MEDICAL SCHOOL
Premedical Professional Advisors from the Gateway Student Success Center will discuss how to navigate the application process for medical programs and how to submit letters of recommendations for various schools.
