Official Transcripts

To order an official transcript, complete the Student Transcript Request Form and mail or fax it to NAU according to the information listed on the form. Alternatively, the form can be submitted in person at the registration window in the Gammage Building. Transcripts are $10 each in addition to the following delivery options: 2-day pickup (free), 10-day mail (free), 8-day rush mail ($10), or FedEx Overnight ($25).

NAU has also contracted with National Student Clearinghouse to provide a convenient web-based method for students to request official transcripts. Transcripts are processed by NAU, but can be quickly ordered and paid for online using a major credit card. Current students can log into LOUIE and select Official Transcript Request from the Other Academic dropdown list in the Student Center. Non-current students must go through the Clearinghouse Welcome Center.

PLEASE NOTE: Official transcripts are individually sealed. If a transcript is sent to a student and the envelope is opened, the transcript becomes unofficial.

Unofficial Transcripts

Students can view and print an unofficial transcript by selecting Unofficial Transcript from the Other Academic dropdown list in LOUIE, or by visiting any one of NAU's Distance Learning Sites and presenting a photo ID.

Faculty and staff can use the online Departmental Request Page to obtain a departmental transcript and transfer credit information. The documents can be faxed, mailed, or picked-up within 2 days.

Enrollment/Degree Verification

To verify enrollment, degree, GPA, or consortium status, students can submit a completed Verification Request Form to the registrar's office, or log into LOUIE and select Enrollment Verification from the Other Academic dropdown list in the Student Center. If students simply wish to print an enrollment certificate that confirms enrollment status only, they can do so by selecting Official Transcript Request from the dropdown list and then choosing the certificate without ordering a transcript.

Third parties wishing to verify student degrees or past/current enrollment must do so through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Services supplied by the National Student Clearinghouse are in full compliance with all applicable privacy laws and, in particular, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). If you have any questions regarding transcripts/verifications at NAU please call the registrar's office at 928-523-5362 during regular business hours.
