ENROLLMENT CALENDARS DATES - FALL 2008

NAU reserves the right to make changes in the University calendar, schedule of classes, course fees and academic policies.
All deadlines listed below are pro-rated for non-16 week classes.

March 2008
3/03 - 4/16	Advisement (check with your advisor for dates and times)
3/17 - 3/21	Spring Break (no classes)
3/24 - 4/16	Early Enrollment for Fall 2008 (continuing students only)
April 2008
/4/17 - 8/24	Open Enrollment begins (for new and continuing students)
July 2008
6/30	First day to submit petition to change residency status for the Fall 2008 term.
August 2008
8/01	Payment deadline for students enrolled between 3/24-8/01
8/02	Unpaid students are placed in payment plan
8/16	First Financial Aid refund
8/23 - 8/24	Welcome Weekend
8/25	$50 late enrollment fee in effect
8/25	First day of instruction for Fall 2008
September 2008
9/1	Labor Day – University Closed
9/5	Last day to Add a class (without having to file a petition and pay a $25 late add fee)
9/5	Last day to submit residency reclassification petition
9/5	Last day to change Audit to Credit or Credit to Audit
9/5	Last day to file for Grade Replacement
9/6	Petition to Add a class and $25 late add fee in effect
9/8	Last Day to drop with 100% refund for M16 session classes
9/15	Administrative Drop deadline and 21st day enrollment count
9/16	Census $100 Add fee for M16 session classes in effect
9/19	Last day to Drop/Delete a class (without class appearing on students’ transcripts)
9/20	Drop with a “W” in effect (class will appear on students’ transcripts with a “W” where grade is reported)
9/25	Commencement program deadline for name inclusion
9/26	Last day to file for A-Pass/Fail
9/29 - 9/30	Submission of mid-term grades
October 2007
10/1 - 10/17	Submission of mid-term grades
10/10	Last day to submit residency reclassification appeal
10/24	Last day to drop with a “W” (without having to file a petition and pay a $25 late processing fee)
10/25	Petition to drop and $25 late processing fee in effect
November 2008
10/27 - 11/19	Early enrollment for Spring 2009 (continuing students only)
11/11	Veteran’s Day – University Closed
11/20	Open enrollment for Spring 2009 begins
11/27- 11/28	Thanksgiving – University Closed
December 2008
11/28	Last day to officially withdraw from the University for the Fall 2008 term (from all classes)
11/28	Undergraduate graduation application deadline to Registrar's Office for Spring 2009 commencement (contact your college for their earlier graduation application deadlines; Graduate students should contact the Graduate College for their deadline.)
12/1 - 12/5	End of Term Week
12/5	Instruction ends
12/8 - 12/11	Finals
12/12	Commencement

New freshmen students (less than 13 earned college credits after high school) attend a two-day orientation session prior to enrollment for Fall 2008. New transfer students (greater than 12 earned college credits after high school) attend a one-day orientation session prior to enrollment for Fall 2008.
