Dive-In Movie night at the pool, April 2nd
The WAC will be hosting a Dive-In movie night in the pool April 2nd, 2010. Spectators can swim using innertubes while watching the movie or watch from the balcony. Check back for more information.



Inclement Weather Policy
In the case of a University delay or closure the WAC will be delayed or closed as well. Early morning Masters/FPAC practice will be canceled if the University is delayed. If the University is closed, all programs are canceled. Please check the main University web site for delay or closure information

Programs & Services

Swimming Lessons

American Red Cross Lessons are offered throughout the year to children and adults. No swimming skills are required, as each class is tailored to the needs of the participants. Private lessons are also available. The price for group swim lessons for NAU students, staff and Alumni (with a current NAU ID) is $30.00; and the community is $35.00, for eight, 1/2 hour lessons. Private lessons are also available that can be arranged to fit the instructors and/or participants schedule. However, private swim lessons are not exactly based on the American Red Cross swimming lesson program.

Diving Club

Nothern Arizona Diving (NAD) is a registered USA Diving & AAU Diving club.  Participation is open to all ages.  Please contact Nikki Kelsey @ 523-8010 for more information.

Competitive Swimming

FPAC is a highly competitive swimming team that is open to students and the community. The club is registered with USA Swimming. Please contact Andy Johns at 928-523-6325 for more information.

Masters Swimming

Masters swimming is a competitive swimming program for adults. It requires a very minimum skill level to participate and is open to NAU students and the public. Training is five times per week for 1.5 hours. Punch cards are available at 10 visits for $35.00 and 20 visits for $60.00.

Aqua Fit Classes (Hydros)

Instructors guide participants to music while they exercise using the water’s natural resistance for muscle toning, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. For NAU Students and all WAC Pass Holders there is no additional charge.  For a daily visit the charge is the cost of a day pass. During the summer Hydros is held Monday - Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm. Men's & Women's Water Polo

Men's & Women's Water Polo are registered University-sponsored sport clubs. Men's & Women's Water polo is open to all students, faculty, staff & Affiliates. These clubs are members of the Collegiate Water Polo Association, and compete in the Southwest Division. Moderate swimming skill is necessary, but no water polo experience is needed. Dolphin Day Camp

Dolphin Day Camp is a children’s summer camp that the Wall Aquatic Center hosts. The camp dates run coinciding with the NAU Summer Session I & II school calendar. The price per child is $190.00 per session for current NAU students, $225.00 per session for NAU Fac/Staff, and $260.00 per session for the Community. The program is held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and the ages of the children are 5 years through 11 years of age. Children will participate in field trips, arts, swimming, and water safety education. Space is limited, so register early. Payment is due at the time of registration. Registration will begin at the end of March. Registration packets are available on February 1st. Scholarships are available for NAU Students and Staff with financial needs. The Mike Lemon Foundation scholarships are available to anyone with a child in the FUSD. A limited number of scholarships are available, they will be awarded by need. Parking

Parking passes are issued for a fee per semester to public patrons at Parking Services located on the corner of Dupont and Beaver. Pay per visit meters are also available.
