High Altitude Training

The Wall Aquatic Center is one of the finest high altitude swimming facilities in the world. The aquatic center is host to numerous training camps from teams all over the world. Some of the world's finest swimmers train at the aquatic center 25 Medals won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics were by athletes that trained at the Wall Aquatic Center.

National swim squads from countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Denmark, & Norway train at the aquatic center to heighten their performance and prepare for - and in many cases win - some of the most prestigious swim competitions in the world.

The current rental rate for a reserved lane is $18/hr/lane. There is a two lane minimum rental charge if no other teams are training at the same time. Reservations need to be made at least 1-month in advance. A 20% deposit is required 1-month in advance to guarantee space.  For information about scheduling a training camp for your team, please call 928-523-6324 or e-mail the Aquatics Coordinator at Terry.Huntley@nau.edu.

The Wall Aquatic Center is open for public viewing of the visiting teams during open building hours. All viewing will take place from our balcony seating area.  Photographs and videos of visiting teams is prohibited without prior written approval from the athletes, teams, and the Wall Aquatic Center.
