Join us for one of our Group Exercise Classes every Saturday. The class formats change every week along with the instructors!
Start your Saturday off right with an all around full-body workout. Challenge your strength and endurance with a combo of cardio and strength training intervals utilizing a variety of fitness equipment. NO CHOREOGRAPHY- just fast feet and serious strength. Class CHANGES every time so you see CHANGES in your physique, power, endurance and agility.

Personal Training Consultations & Fitness Assessments
Monday, October 5, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Start your semester off by getting your workout questions answered and trying out our fitness (cardiovascular, muscular endurance and flexibility) assessments ran by NAU’s certified personal trainers. They’ll discuss appropriate goal setting and give you workout tips and tricks. Bring your friends and sign-up for Free Small Group Training sessions! The trainers will also be performing free body fat testing!

This powerful and effective class will strenthen and define your entire body using amplified resistance and cardio exercises.

The routines feature aerobic fitness with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It’s a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps perfect for anyone with or without dance experience!! Come Zumba with us!

Come learn the beneifts of swimming. Improve your technique with trained Wall Aquatic Center staff, including current National Master's record holder and NAU Master's coach Liz Hobbs. Additional coaching from current collegiate athletes and Bronze Medalist in Short Course Nationals in the Breaststroke Dave Rawlins, NAU Assistant Coach.

Think rock climbing looks cool, but not sure where to start? Climbing is an excellent way to de-stress and get a full-body workout, whether climbing inside or out. Stop by this clinic and learn the basics from NAU Outdoors instructors, and discover that climbing is just as much about fun and creativity, as it is about strength. All equipment is provided.

This class takes the traditional step moves and transforms them into imaginative step combinations by simply adding the elements of rhythm, direction and style!
NAU’s PES Coordinator gives you all the info about upcoming PES classes and how to stay in shape throughout the semester!

It’s too cold outside, I don’t feel like walking to the Rec, I have too much homework, I don’t have time! We have the solution to all of your workout dilemmas! Learn workouts you can do in your dorm room with your friends for those rainy days you don’t feel like leaving your room with your friends for those rainy days when you don’t feel like leaving your room!

Freshman Fusion Remix: Jazzercise Express & Make Your Workout's More Effective
Wednesday, October 21, 6:00-7:00 p.m.
All freshman are invited to attend this Freshman exclusive Group Exercise Class every Wednesday.
Jazzercise Express is an incredible 30-minute class full of cardio, strength and stretch moves for a TOTAL body workout.
And learn how to LOVE your body! The physical aspects of workouts are very important, but giving yourself a vigorous mental workout that celebrates your body is just as important. It actually makes your physical workout more effective.
Thursday, October 22, 5:30pm-6:00 p.m.
A Lumberjack first…group TREADMILL classes! Whether you are a runner or a walker, come experience cardiovascular training at its finest. These 30-minute classes are designed to increase your cardiovascular capacity to keep you in shape using hill work, speed work and interval drills that you would most likely never push yourself to do! No experience with running is necessary…just a water bottle. Reservations requested- pick up a reservation card at the front desk. Classes meet on the treadmills in the main cardio area.

Get in the best shape of your life by participating in pilates and learning the pilates principles that are changing the way society thinks about fitness. You will learn how to challenge core and peripheral strength while working on posture, coordination, balance and flexibility plus minimizing excess bulk! Also, certified massage therapists will walk you through massage techniques that can reduce stress, muscle soreness and chronic pain. Learn how to increase your circulation and flexibility to promote a more restful sleep. You will leave this workshop with a refreshed sense of well-being.

Let's Zumba...Haloween style! Participate in our costume contest and burn some extra calories while dancing to our international beats!
