LIVE IT UP with a fitness program designed just for you!

You can get your first semester off to the right start with three easy steps. Join us for one or all of the Freshman Fusion FREE events & you’ll join other freshman students as you experience incredible workouts, expand your knowledge in health & fitness and you’ll receive awesome fitness gear!

Step 1:  Educate Yourself                                                                                                 
Knowledge is power.  Through our freshman exclusive “Remix” group exercise classes held every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m.; learn the essentials that you need to live a healthy active lifestyle.  These can include Demystifying Counseling Services, Campus Recreation Services, Wellness Services on Campus, and Stress Management.  Bring your family to participate in any one of our Family Weekend events September 24.  Also, get an incredible workout in the Freshman Connections Residence Halls September 18-24.   
 
Step 2:  Exercise Daily            
                                                                    
A lifestyle rich in cardiovascular exercise and strength training can give you the energy you need to tackle each day. Take action now to take care of your body!  Get new workout ideas from certified personal trainers and set your fitness benchmarks with free personal fitness assessments.  Grab your friends or meet new ones when you participate in our fun, informative,and exercise filled Health-a-palooza week:  October 10-16. All events during this month give you the tools which can help you stay physically active most days of the week.
 
                                                                                        
The key to eating right is controlling your portion sizes and maintaining a well balanced diet. Learn how to include a variety of nutritious fruits, vegetables and heart-healthy foods such as lean meats, fish and nuts.  “Remix” classes and On-Campus Dining throughout this month are dedicated to helping you make healthy food choices and will coach you to avoid excessive weight gain during the holidays and heightened stressful times of the semester.
