Mountain Campus Transit Quick Reference Guide

Our Mission

To develop, provide and improve customer service to the campus community; including accessibility to parking in close proximity to efficient shuttle services.

    Fall 2009 Previous Updates

    August 26, 2009: Updates

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve parking and shuttle services on campus.

The growth in enrollment and construction on campus has resulted in a decrease of available parking on campus, predominately on North campus. We will be assessing parking availability across campus over the next several weeks as we strive to accomodate the needs of the campus community.

In an effort to provide more efficient shuttle service, buses are staged at bus stops across campus at least five minutes prior to the change of classes. This will allow all buses to fill simultaneously and travel campus in a more synchronized motion. Buses will continue their route through campus while classes are in progress. Please visit the Mountain Campus Transit page for more information and route maps.

North Commuter and the Parking Garage 96A parking permits for students are sold out. You may log into your "Manage My Parking" account and place yourself on the waitlist for the Parking Garage.

South Commuter permits are still available and convenient as we've added a new Express Shuttle from the Skydome to North campus along San Francisco St.

Permits Returned/ Refund Options - Permits purchased prior to September 7th before 4:30 pm; may return their permit to our office no later than September 21, 2009 before 4:30 pm for a full refund. No returns or refunds will be issued after this date except for official withdrawal from the university for medical or called to active military service.

    Campus Parking Map

    Fall 2009 Changes

Meters on campus have been reduced to open up more student parking. Meters are intended for visitors. Student permit owners are prohibited from parking at meters.

Park & Stay, originally intended for residential students as a means to decrease vehicles driving on campus, was only being used by commuters. Therefore, it will be paved and converted to commuter parking.

Park & Ride, originally intended for North campus employees, has been removed as P18A will now provide more employee parking.

Parking Garage permits will only be permitted to park in the garage to ensure this facility is efficiently used and vehicles are not taking a second parking stall elsewhere on campus.
