    August 31, 2010 Update

Top 10 "Need to Know" for Parking on Campus

    1. Vehicles must have a permit to park on campus Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Employee (AE) and residence hall lots (R1-R6 and Family) require a permit Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 10:00 pm. Monday through Friday after 4:30 most commuter lots do not require a permit.
    2. Students may place the cost of their permit onto their NAU student account (LOUIE).
    3. Benefit-eligble faculty and staff may take advantage of tax savings by paying for their permit using payroll deduction.
    4. All lots are signed indicating designated permit usage. Signs and permits are color-coded to make it easier to use.
    5. Adding or Removing a Vehicle? When adding a vehicle to your account, make sure you have added it to your current permit. If you are removing a vehicle from your account, the vehicle history will remain on your account, but the vehicle will be inactive.
    6. Vehicles with student permits are not permitted at meters as meters are intended for campus guests.
    7. Appeals are submitted online via "Manage My Parking" and take approximately two weeks to render decisions. Decisions are posted to your "Manage My Parking" account and e-mails are sent every Friday.
    8. All citations are posted on LOUIE within 24 hours of issue and may only be paid on LOUIE.
    9. Weekend guests to campus do not need a permit but may not park in restricted areas or fire lanes. Weekend guests must have an ADA placard to use ADA stalls.
    10. ADA stalls are available throughout campus and require an ADA placard in conjunction with an NAU parking permit.
