Dear Lumberjack family members:
Welcome to Northern Arizona University! This NAU Parent and Family Guide can assist you throughout your student’s career at Northern Arizona University. It will answer the questions that you have about life on the Flagstaff campus.
As a parent of a Lumberjack (or more than one), you know the joys and concerns that come with being the parents of a university student. A college career is a big part of life for both students and their families. Our staff and faculty are committed to assisting students in achieving their academic goals and are available to help whenever necessary. The support that you provide as parents is just as critical now as it has been in the past. Sustained support, counsel, understanding, and interventions are the keys to your student’s success.
As the guardians of a Lumberjack, the Office of Parent and Family Services is here to serve you. We recognize the essential role that parents and family members play in the success of their student. This guide is just one of the services provided to support you and strengthen the role you play as the parent of a college student. It contains critical information you will need to better advise your student as he or she reaches crossroads in university life.
If you have any questions after reviewing this guide, or if you have information that you would like to see included in the future, please contact the Office of Parent and Family Services at Parent.Services@nau.edu or (928) 523-6267. We are here to help you.
Sincerely,
