Orsi Golovics has been named co-Big Sky Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Feb. 5-12. Golovics earned her second Player of the Week award in the last three. A native of Szentendre, Hungary, Golovics has set a torrid pace opening the year 9-1 in singles play and 7-3 in doubles with teammate Edit Suhajda.

The 5-9 freshman led Northern Arizona to a 2-1 record last week posting wins over UTEP and Utah State and narrowly losing to New Mexico State 4-3.

The right-hander totaled three singles wins and one doubles victory in those three matches. Against an undefeated UTEP squad, Golovics bested Marina Deluca 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 2 position. She out-dualed Utah State’s Brianna Harris 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot and also defeated New Mexico State’s Zeljka Juricek 6-3, 7-5 at the No. 2.
