Going 'Platinum' with Applied Research and Development building
Northern Arizona University is home to the greenest building in Arizona and one of the three greenest in the world after receiving a 'Platinum' rating for its Applied Research and Development building.
The ARD building earned 60 points out of a possible 69 from the Leadership Energy and Environment Design building rating system from the U.S. Green Building Council. Only two other buildings in the world have earned at least 60 points. The designation comes shortly after the university earned "Gold" ratings for buildings that house Engineering and The W.A. Athletics Update:
The men’s and women’s basketball teams continue Big Sky Conference action this week with Idaho State and Weber State. The men’s tennis team opens its season at Arizona and Arizona State, while the swimming and diving team plays host to Grand Canyon Saturday morning at the Wall Aquatic Center.

The Calgary, Alberta native is leading the team with 16.8 points per game (second in Big Sky) and 8.9 rebounds (first in Big Sky) and he ranks sixth in the league with a 56.4% field goal percentage. He has recorded a career-best seven double-doubles this season with six games with 20 or more points among 15 in double digits and had 10 or more rebounds eight times.
