Happy New Year! Here are a few reminders for the beginning of the spring semester.
We'll publish our first regular issue next Friday, January 11.
Welcome Weekend
All students are invited to kick off the new term with Welcome Week activities starting January 12. In addition to the activities, many university offices will have extended office hours to serve students better. For the schedule, click here.
Tips for new students moving in
Campus Dining locations will open for breakfast and residence halls open at noon on Saturday, January 12. New students should bring their hall assignment letter (if living on campus), NAU ID card, and their student login and password which will be needed to check their LOUIE account, class schedule and financial aid status. For more move-in information, click here.
As it looks like snow is on the way, remind your student about these important winter driving tips—check road conditions before travelling, slow down and leave longer breaking distances, make sure your cell phone is working, that you have warm clothes or blankets in your car, and make sure someone knows what your travel plans are.
NAU Alert: talk to your student about registering If your student has not already registered, encourage him or her to sign up. Then your student can add you or another family member, by logging in.
NAU Alert is the university's emergency notification system. The service is free and voluntary, but your student must be registered.
