What is “LOUIE?”

Northern Arizona University students use LOUIE, Lumberjack’s On-line University Information Environment, to access information from the university’s Student Information System about themselves and their academic progress.
LOUIE users can:

Verify and update their local and permanent addresses

  • Check their class schedule
  • View their midterm (fall and spring terms only) and final grades
  • Access their academic transcript
  • See their Degree Progress report
  • Initiate a “What If” request to Degree Progress to learn how classes they have completed would apply toward a different major
  • Register for classes
  • Use the “Course Search” feature, which indicates what courses are scheduled and sorts them by whether or not they are still open, and also allows users to search for courses that meet specific Liberal Studies requirements, courses that meet at a certain time, etc.
  • Request an official transcript and enrollment verification
  • Check on a financial aid award
  • View their account balance

LOUIE can be accessed at: www.nau.edu/louie. To enter the system, students are required to provide their student user ID and login password.
