Providing future elementary teachers with the vision and hands-on experiences to incorporate art into their social studies, literacy, and math curriculum is the goal of this project. Art education embraces the minds and senses of all students, whether they are native English speakers, high academic achievers, or special needs learners.
Visiting museums, viewing original artwork, offers everyone an exposure to beauty that is frequently overlooked. Building from these cultural experiences, future teachers will learn how to incorporate art education into their classroom curriculum.
Gifts to this project will be used to pay for admission tickets to several art museums in Arizona for 70 students.
The amount still needed to make this project possible is $2,720.
