Helping Students Understand Consequences

Creating an Educational Video on Drinking and Driving

“Drinking and Driving Consequences” is a thirty-minute video that tells the story of five friends who attend a party, the decisions each make about drinking and driving, and the consequences of those decisions.  This video, when completed, will be shown to Northern Arizona University students and be made available to students at the local high schools.

In a unique partnership, students enrolled in Health Science/Community Health Promotion and Theater and Media Arts will have an opportunity to apply what they have learned in health promotion, television production, and performing arts to help other students.  The students have already begun the analysis of this project with an overall goal to reduce the number of drinking and driving incidents among 16-19 year olds.

This is an amazing opportunity for our students to practice their craft and perfect their skills while creating a video designed to save lives.

The amount still needed to make this project possible is $3,150.
