Now's the time to prepare for the fall semester
With the end of the spring semester approaching, the time has come for your student to begin making plans for the fall. To ensure that he or she has a smooth transition into the next academic year, keep these important upcoming deadlines in mind: 

  • Class registrationEarly Enrollment for fall 2008 classes for continuing students has begun and will continue through April 17. In order to register at his or her appointed time, your student will need to meet with an advisor and clear any "holds" on his or her LOUIE account with the Bursar's office. For more information about Early Enrollment, visit the Registrar’s calendar or contact the Gateway Student Success Center.
     
  • Housing and dining reapplicationHousing and dining reapplication for fall 2008 has begun and will continue through April 17. Residence Life is expecting high demand for housing in the fall, so your student should sign up as early as possible to secure a room and meal plan for next year. For more information about reapplication, visit the reapplication homepage.

    Student tip: free legal advising services
    now available

    Let your student know about the Associated Students of Northern Arizona University (ASNAU) Legal Aid Services Program. With this program, your student can receive legal advice, if needed, free of charge from Sara Presler-Hoefle, a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Arizona.
  • Legal advice can encompass landlord-tenant disputes, privacy and property concerns, actions arising out of drug and alcohol use, and victim’s rights. Students can meet with the attorney before making important decisions, after involvement in an incident, or to just learn more. Students can call ASNAU at (928) 523-4971 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
     

    UTV 62 'kicks off' as successful student-produced channel
    When students channel surf to find that perfect entertainment experience, they may want to consider UTV 62, a station with content produced specifically with them in mind. UTV 62 is a television station on the university's campus cable system that is entirely student managed and produced. Read more...

    Athletics Update
    Football Opens Spring Practice April 3
    The Northern Arizona University football program will start spring practice on Tuesday, April 3 with the first of 14 practice opportunities over a four-week period. The program will conduct its annual spring game on Saturday, April 26 at noon. Read more...
