Week 2 Outdoor Living/Survival Skills

Are you ready for adventure?  The Outdoor Living and Survival Skills week will provide you with the skills needed to survive in a wilderness situation.  On this sheet you will find a list of all of gear that you will need to make your week successful and comfortable.  Of course, if you have any questions you can always call NAU Outdoors at 928-523-5010.  Let the adventure begin!

Meet the Instructors-

Paige Healy:

Paige is the lead instructor of the program and comes to NAU from Virginia.  She is currently working on a degree in Parks and Recreation Management.  Paige works with NAU Outdoors as a Challenge Course Supervisor, Trip Leader and Rental Window Assistant and is a certified Wilderness First Responder and Leave-No-Trace Trainer.

Elliot Spaulding:

Elliot is completing his Parks and Recreation degree with an internship with Red Cliff Ascent.  Elliot comes to NAU from San Diego.  He is a certified Wilderness First Responder, Challenge Course Facilitator and Leave-No-Trace Trainer.

      The program will begin and end at the Recreation Center (building #25) on the campus of NAU.

        What are the times and dates of the program?

        The Outdoor Living/Survival Skills week will run from July 23-27.  Each morning the program will meet at 8:30AM and the students will be ready to be picked up at 3:00PM.
