Work and personal history:
Nicholas Hagemann is a former student facilitator and is the current Events Coordinator for NAU Outdoors and the NAU Challenge Course. Nic graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from NAU. Nic has worked and facilitated in some of the most beautiful environments in the country: an oak savanna in northern Illinois, beside spring fed lakes in Connecticut and Maine, on the north shore of Oahu, on the banks of the San Juan River and at the base of the tallest mountain in the state of Arizona. NAU Outdoors provides Nic with the opportunity to do the thing he enjoys the most, teach.

I have worked with the NAU Challenge Course since 2001.

Hiking and climbing in Northern Arizona and the San Juan Mountains.

I am currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Management with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership at NAU. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I am extremely grateful to be living in Flagstaff and enjoy the beauty of Arizona each and every day. Previously, I worked at Camp Talahi in Michigan as the assistant director and had an unforgettable experience. I have a passion for working with people in the outdoors, and hope to pursue a career in outdoor leadership and/or outdoor education.

Work and Personal History:
Richard Gomez is a Flagstaff native who understands the power of experiential leaning to advance the personal and professional growth of individuals and teams. Rich is a retired Naval Aviator, having served for 20 years in the Command and Control field. He stands on a strong foundation in Leadership, Communication and Training. A Naval Academy graduate, Rich brings a unique perspective to the NAU Challenge Course Staff. Through his experiences as a Naval Officer and world traveler, he crafts an energetic, in-depth program that challenges teams to achieve higher goals, enhances individual knowledge of self and others, and builds leadership and communication skills in a fun and safe environment.
Rich is a certified NAU Challenge Course Facilitator and Supervisor, holds a BS in Physical Sciences and a Masters in Strategic Studies, and has returned to Flagstaff and NAU to take advantage of our unique outdoor environment to provide Adventure Based training for your Team.
Challenge Course Supervisor
Chris is a business major at NAU entering his third year. He enjoys many different activities and loves the outdoors.

Michal Lisa is a junior at NAU after transferring from Pima Community College in Tucson. Her major is Parks and Recreation Management with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership. She has lived in 6 states and is always up for a new adventure.

Work and personal history:
Michael Lisa grew up camping and hiking with her family and going to church summer camps. She discovered rock climbing in high school, and eventually her entire family became hooked. Her passion for working in the outdoors was truly ignited, however, when she started volunteering as staff at the camps she attended as a teen. She finds enjoyment and fulfillment sharing her experiences and teaching others.

Eli was born in Crosby, MN and has only recently moved to Arizona.

Eli was previously the high ropes assistant at Trials End Ranch in Montana.

Who are you?
I am a North Carolinian with two older brothers. I am an active, math-oriented student who can to Arizona for a change of scenery.
