Decide where you want to live (on or off campus). Living in an on-campus residential hall is convenient, less costly, and you get to meet new people (see Residence Life). If you choose to live off-campus,account for extra travel time to classes and be prepared to pay deposits (first and last month's rent, utility hook-ups, phone, cable, etc.) if selecting an apartment or house.
Students with children should research the local school system regarding open enrollment dates, daycare, and healthcare (see Flagstaff Unified School District).
SAVE money for extra expenses (moving, gas, food, books, etc.) in case your financial aid has not been disbursed to you by the first week of classes in the fall/spring.
Seek help from campus resources to ensure a smooth transition into the university environment and begin the path to reaching your educational goals.
