Q: I have already applied to NAU, but have not received any information about the STAR program. How do I apply?
A: If you believe that you meet one of the three criteria and have already applied to NAU, you can complete the STAR Interest Form online.
A: Review of applications begins in February. If you have completed the application process by February, expect to hear from us by late February. We plan to select the entire class by March 31. Remember, you must pay the $300.00 enrollment deposit to accept your admission to NAU.
A: STAR Check-in information will be posted soon! Signs will be posted on campus to direct you to the halls or you can download a map.
A: Yes, you will automtically be registered to attend New Student Orientation on June 1-2. If you are selected for STAR after you have already signed-up for orientation, then we will make arrangements with the New Student Programs office to switch your date for you. To register your family members for orientation, please contact the New Student Programs office at (928) 523-0632.
A: Yes, all STAR students are required to live on-campus during the program. Living in the residence hall provides students with a well-rounded experience.
A: Students are required to stay on-campus the first and last weekend of the program only. During the first weekend, we will be participating in the NAU challenge course. On the last weekend, we will be hosting an end-of-program banquet. Most students stay on weekends to study, write papers, do research, etc. The residence hall staff will be planning weekend activities for students to participate in.
