In honor of Latin@ Heritage Month, the NAU Bookstore will have a special display with the poster for Latin@ Heritage Month events and related books by Latin@ authors.

At Cline Library 
Cline Library will display print, audio and visual materials in the Special Interest Room for Latin@ Heritage Month from September 15-October 15, 2011.

At the Hot Spot and the DuB 
Campus Dining will feature specialty menus at the Hot Spot and the DuB to celebrate Latin@ Heritage Month.

Dr. Roberto Rodriguez is Assistant Professor of Mexican American Studies at the University of Arizona. Unidos is a student group formed from Raza/Mexican American Studies students from Tucson High School. They have been engaged in a battle to protect ethnic studies education in Arizona in the face of the State Legislature's attempt to ban Ethnic Studies curriculum in Arizona schools. Los Hermanos Escamilla will conduct a workshop in the morning and teach students basic roping tricks. In the evening, Escamilla Entertainment's program will entertain, enlighten and inspire the audience on the beauty and diversity of Mexico's colorful dance traditions while educating the general public about the culture's contribution to the community. They offer authentic entertainment in the areas of Mexican folklore with the Ballet Folklorico Nacional and the traditional "Floreo de Soga" (trick roping). Sponsored by the Multicultural Student Center and Student Activities Council (STAC).
