“The MSC has been a wonderful resource for me. I can use the computers, print papers, meet with my peer advisor, or just chill with my friends. It is a convenient place for me to spend time between my classes and do homework.”

—Danita Smith,
Liberal Studies,
Tucson, Ariz.

The Multicultural Student Center (MSC) provides culturally-relevant services and support to historically underrepresented students.  We promote student success through academic, personal and cultural growth, provides an access point into the NAU higher education community and develops leaders that enrich our diverse society.

We coordinate the Successful Transition and Academic Readiness (STAR) program, a five-week summer bridge program, and the peer advisor program which helps students with the academic process of the university.

MSC is a strong campus partner for diversity events and activities. The department often sponsors activities on campus, like the annual Martin Luther King program, Heritage convocations and Multicultural Kids Day.

We also have a resource library with ethnic and cultural books, magazines and study guides for professional programs.
