Location—Held at the Wall Aquatic Center, Corner of San Francisco and Franklin Sts, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ

Facility—Indoor 6 lane 25 meter course with non-turbulent lane lines. 25 yard course available for continuous warmup and warmdown. Touchpads/Electronic timing will be used.

Time—Warmups at 10 AM, meet starts at 11:00

Rules—

1. 2008 USMS Rules will apply
2. All events are timed finals
3. Swimmers may swim up to 5 individual events
4. Swimmers age as of December 31, 2008, will determine their age for the meet
5. 400 and 800 free and 400 IM require positive checkin. Deadlines for 400 Free/IM is 10:30 AM October 21, and for the 800 is 11:30 AM.

Seeding—All events will be run slowest to fastest, ages and sexes combined. The 400 Free and IM, and some 200’s, may be combined to help make full heats.

Eligibility—Open to any swimmer with a valid 2008 USMS registration. Please include a copy of your USMS registration card with your entry, or be prepared to show your card at meet checkin. We will be accepting one day registrations (applications available at the meet). Cost for a 1 day registration is $8.00, payable to AZ LMSC

Awards—

--All entrants will receive a certificate of participation

--There will be ribbons available for each event

--There will be a cash award for the visiting team that has the most members entered

--The Classic VO2 min reward has been renamed the “Mel Dyck Swimmer of the Meet” in honor of our friend Mel and all the work he did in his tenure here in Flagstaff. This totally subjective award will be given out based on votes from a random panel of judges.

Pre-meet Clinic/Warmup and Pasta Party—Make your travel more worthwhile and join us for the afternoon and evening of Saturday, October 18 We will host a clinic run by NAU women's swimming team. The day will be capped by a “wish you were here Grace” pasta party. Those of you who were fortunate enough to be here for the original VO2 min meet’s afterparties know what we mean. More information follows the meet’s order of events.

Entry fee is $25.00. Deck entries will be $35.00

Entry Deadline—Entries must be received by 5 PM on Wednesday October 15. Deck entries will be accepted to fill available lane space only, deck entry deadline 10:30 October 19.

Clinic and Pasta Party

On Saturday afternoon from 3:30-5 PM members of NAM will host a clinic run by the NAU women's swim team. Come and get some tips on any of the 4 racing strokes as well as starts and turns. Each clinic participant will also be videotaped both above and below the water. Cost for the clinic is $15, payable that day. We will also have space available at this time for warmup.

At 6 PM members of NAM will host a premeet carboloading party, including pasta, salad, bread, and beer. Cost is $10 for adults and $5.00 for kids 6-16, payable that night.

All proceeds from the clinic and pasta party will go to support NAU women's swimming and diving.
