We appreciate the many people who have donated funds, services and goods to the Department of Humanities, Arts, and Religion. If you wish to join them in supporting the good works and services of HAR, please use this form.

Existing Funds:

Department of Humanities, Arts, & Religion
This is a discretionary fund which can support everything from faculty travel, to classroom technology upgrades, to public lectures, or to our slide room. This fund gives us the most latitude in meeting needs as they arise.
Humanities, Arts and Religion Film Series
Funds donated go to public permission rights, publicity, film posters, hall, and technology rentals. In kind donations of new movie related books, copies of DVDs, film posters, film scores, etc, are also appreciated for our "doorprizes."
Platt Cline Humanities Endowment Fund
This fund is used to bring in major speakers each year. With rising costs for plane tickets and honoraria, this fund falls about $20,000 short each year.

Scholarships
HAR currently only has three small scholarships to offer each year. Contact Joseph Boles or Marjorie Kamine, through the links below, if you would like to start scholarship endowment. For example, consider funding the:

___________ Art History Scholarship--Our Art History area does not have a scholarship associated with it, as do our other two areas. If you wish to start such a fund in your name, contact us.

Existing Scholarships: Funds donated would go to the principal to increase the annual award to students.

New initiative

Technology for the Humanities, the Arts and the Study of Religion
Our classes, especially Art History, rely on the ability to show high quality images. We need to convert to cutting edge digital classrooms and a virtual slide room in the next five years, sooner if we can. Funds will be used for faculty training, slide conversion, image scanning, and student image labs.
