As with every Academic unit on campus, our Programs engage in annual assessment activities. Art History, Humanities, and Religious Studies each started a new cycle of assessment this year, focusing on two major issues: student DFW rates in lower division classes and the improvement of writing through the revision of our junior level "W" classes.
This year we are conducting the Academic Program Review for all of our areas. Major features include a self-study and a visit from external consultants, professors from other institutions, who will assist us in contextualizing our Programs with national trends and standards.
