Paul Wiener, Ed. D. MBA, CHA, is an assistant Professor at HRM. Wiener is active in the state restaurant and lodging associations, and does consulting on hotel acquisitions and economic impacts of tourism. Dr. Wiener also works with the National Parks Service as the administrator of HRM's training program for NPS concession specialists.

Prior to teaching, Wiener spent 23 years in restaurant and lodging operations. He owned and operated a property management and consulting firm, served as general manager of resort properties in Utah and Colorado, and worked abroad for Sheraton and as a senior consultant in Pannell Kerr Forster's London office. He worked in Nevada casino hotels for five years, and earned a B. Sc. From UNLV's College of Hotel Administration. He has an AB in Political Science from Claremont McKenna College, an MBA from Harvard University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from NAU.
