James T. Murphy, MBA, CPA, (Retired) joined Northern Arizona University's School of Hotel and Restaurant Management faculty in 1988 after nearly 20 years as an airline financial executive. Murphy was a vice president for Frontier Airlines for 15 years before becoming vice president of finance and chief financial officer for StatesWest Airlines, and was also associated with Trans-World Airlines. He earned the BBA at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York and the MBA. at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri. He retired in 2001.
