Assessment and Diagnostic Evaluations

A thorough evaluation is an essential prerequisite for any type of treatment at the Center or for referral through the Center. Types of assessment techniques include:

Psychological Assessment:

  • Assessment of symptoms, stressors, and problem behaviors.
  • Assessment of coping, emotional and personality styles, and health-related attitudes.

Psychophysiological Assessment:

  • EMG (muscle tension)
  • EEG/QEEG (brain wave activity)
  • Heart rate
  • Skin temperature
  • Skin conductance
  • Blood pressure

Behavioral Medicine Treatment

The Center offers individual and group treatment for health-related problems. These psychological techniques are used to help manage a wide variety of conditions. Among the treatment modalities available:

  • Biofeedback
  • Neurofeedback
  • Behavior Modification
  • Cognitive-Behavior Therapy
