Health psychology is an exciting field that deals with the interaction of biological and psychosocial factors in health and illness. 

Health psychology addresses four areas: 

• Promotion and maintenance of health
• Prevention and treatment of illness
• Identification of causes and correlates of health and illness
• Improvement of the health care system and health policy formation 

The Health Psychology Center is a multi-purpose service facility housed with the SBS West building and is operated by the Psychology Department of Northern Arizona University.
