Flagstaff is located about two hours north of Phoenix, Arizona and the Sky Harbor International Airport. US Airways serves Flagstaff's Pulliam Municipal Airport through Phoenix. Taxis are available from Flagstaff airport and there is a shuttle service between Phoenix and Flagstaff.
Flying into Phoenix
Open Road Tours shuttle service offers regular transportation between Phoenix and Flagstaff, offering five shuttles daily. Please mention "Western Regional Honors Conference" when you make your reservation.
An alternative to Open Road Tours that has two trips to Flagstaff daily and is slightly cheaper is A Friendly Shuttle.
Both shuttles will drop you off at the Flagstaff Amtrak station, however Open Road Tours has said they may drop you off directly at the conference center if enough WRHC passengers are on board.
Driving to Flagstaff
Flagstaff is located at the intersection of I-17 and I-40.
From the East or West: Take I-40 to exit 195. The off ramp becomes Milton Road. Take Milton Road to Butler Avenue, and turn right. The conference center is on the right.
From the South: Take I-17 North from Phoenix. This highway ends in Flagstaff after exits 340. Stay on the main highway, which will turn into Milton Road. Follow Milton Road approximately 1.5 miles to Butler Avenue,. Turn right; the conference center is on the right.
From the North: Take state route 89 south through Page, AZ. Near Flagstaff, route 89 turns into Historic Route 66. Continue on Route 66 through town and under a railroad bridge. About 1/4 of a mile from this bridge, turn left on Butler; the conference center is on the right.
Train to Flagstaff
Flagstaff is also served by Amtrak rail service, amtrak.com
