THE HONORS PROGRAM at Northern Arizona University enhances the creative problem solving abilities and communication skills of students through a rigorous program of study and an intellectually stimulating academic environment.  The program serves as a model of educational excellence for Northern Arizona University. 

Honors students are members of a close, supportive community of scholars, receive personalized advising, close faculty interaction, unique course offerings, and early enrollment.

First Year Honors students MUST meet one-on-one with an Honors Advisor in order to enroll in Fall 2009 classes. More information is included in our Spring 2009 Advising Newsletter sent to your local address later this week or posted in Cowden.

HONORS AMBASSADORS are current Honors students willing to share their experiences in Honors and at Northern Arizona University with incoming students. Ask them about anything--difficulty of classes, living in an Honors residence hall, or what an Honors class is really like.

HONORS COMMUNITY AND CONNECTIONS

This year's semi-annual Honors Program Lone Tree Road cleanup is set for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 10am. Meet at Kiwanis Park just east of the Skydome. Snacks provided.

Honors GURUS assist in the academic and social adjustment of our first-year Honors students. Find out more about our GURUS program here. Applications were due March 27. Decisions have been made! Email notification went out Friday, April 3.

WESTERN REGIONAL HONORS COUNCIL'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE was held in the new High Country Conference Center on April 10-12, 2008. The NAU WRHC Conference Planning Committee thanks all presenters and attendees for their enthusiasm and support.

 

The WRHC conference in 2010 will be hosted by University of Wyoming.
